Font - Hello, he's one year old a week later and he always takes a piss on my bed. I'm tired of cleaning, I take him to vet every month even if he's totally okay but vet seems like doesn't know why he does it. I can't let him to my room because of this and he does it to my moms bed too sometimes, but mostly mine. How do I stop him doing it?

Font - ProdigiousBeets· 20 hr. ago Your vet has no idea? Did they ask you any questions to try and get some more context/nuance/detail? They're not worried about the cat being in pain? Haven't run any tests on cat's urine? What's going on there? Do you have any other animals? Issue with litter box? (Try cleaning it daily, some cats are super picky.) Could also be an animal outside upsetting your cat but I think you'd see marking/pee by windows if that was the case.

Font - There's a lot of possible causes... curious how little help your vet has been. I'd recommend looking up Jackson Galaxy, he's got a lot of videos on cats and might have some other ideas for you.

Font - Appropriate_Cause_52 +1. 1 day ago Have you tried adding a second litter box? I know of a cat who absolutely needs a separate litter box to poop in, otherwise he'll start peeing elsewhere.

Font - Shanbear16 1 day ago When you add a second litter box try it with a different type of litter. We had to experiment with several different types before realizing that my cat really prefers the softest possible litter.

Font - Either_Marsupial_123 +2 23 hr. ago Siberian I second the different kind of litter thing. Some cats are super picky about that. Try an agent like Nature's Miracle rather than standard laundry/carpet cleaners. Those cleaners actually end up sealing in the urine enzymes with a waxy substance present in the soap formulas. Also if it's heavily perfumed, just because we can't smell the urine, doesn't mean the cat can't. Those enzymes contain pheromones, so if they're left behind and not broken

Font - Sketchyy2157 19 hr. ago I second all of this, and wanna add possibly try a bigger box or, more importantly, one without a lid! Some cats can by picky as to how enclosed their boxes are and I think you're on the right trail as far as not being as easy as your cat would like it to be to use

Font - Herbscrystalsandcats +1 • 11 hr. ago I took a big Rubbermaid storage bin. Cut a door out of the front and put the litter box in there. My Maine coon still has something to tripod on but it also gives him privacy and keeps the sand contained because he has a little mat in the part still inside the rubber maid but outside the box, where he can wipe his paws. Something like this but my cats don't have the cover on their pan

Font - Mysterious_Status_11 +3 - 23 hr. ago My cat was peeing outside her box (on puppy training pads) so I got her a litter box of her own and used cat-attract litter. It worked for us.

Font - big_curly_eyebrows. 1 day ago This happened with my cat. He was 1 1/2 years old when we adopted him and wasn't neutered. He was spraying everywhere the first two weeks we had him. Two weeks ago today, we had him neutered and he stopped spraying thank goodness!

Font - PlantyPen Person - 1 day ago If your cat isn't neutered, he may be marking his territory. I am surprised your vet hasn't mentioned this. Anyway, you should look into getting him neutered and try unscented litter. And as others have mentioned, sometimes cats with urinary tract infections or other health problems do this, too. In the meantime, you may want to put disposable puppy pads on your bed and maybe that will save you some grief.

Font - Leijinga 1 day ago When my cat did this, we found out she had stress cystitis, so whenever she would get stressed, her bladder irritated and she would start peeing in strange places. Her sister developed a urinary tract infection around the same time, so we started transitioning them to wet food only. However, since you said this is an intact mail, he may be territory marking.

Font - A quick fix to save your bed while you figure out how to make him stop peeing on it would be to cover your bed with a plastic sheet (like a cheap shower curtain or painting drop cloth) while you work on fixing the underlying problem. Most cats won't pee on a non-absorbent surface like that, and if he does, it's easier to clean up then trying to get it out of a mattress and bedding
